  TERRIBLE place. Go somewhere else! Took my upfront money for assessment and did not call/email. We had to call several times to finally find out day before due date that they need us to give them examples of houses that pay less than us as they could not find any.... We found at least 5 on nearby streets but it's too late now!! What a waste of our time!!

  Lake County Appeals did a fantastic job in successfully appealing my property taxes! They were communicative, responsive, thorough, and fully upfront and transparent about their fees. I will be recommending them to everyone I know who wants to dispute their property taxes.

  Save your money and do NOT use Lake County Appeal. Do the research yourself. It’s really easy. Go to the Lake County Assessment Office's website (http://www.lakecountyil.gov/376/Search-by-Address) and compare your home with other homes that are similar to yours. If your home is not assessed for the same value, you should move forward and file an appeal. I feel like Lake County Appeal was not honest with me in order to get money from me. I had talked with two different workers at Lake County Appeal who assured me that my case looked promising and that it was a matter of how much money that we would get back. With their supposed expertise and experience, they could have easily looked up the information of my property and compared them with other homes to figure out the likelihood of filing and winning an appeal. Even after paying them and with all these assurances, they didn’t even bother filing an appeal with the County Assessor.
